Well, Edword is not a person. Edword is an online solution for working with written assignments and feedback in an education context.
Edword can be used as a stand-alone or integrate with various learning management systems, like Moodle, Canvas or Teams.
Obviously, the name is a combination of “Ed” for Education, like in EdTech, and “word”, because it is about written assignments, and they tend to contain a lot of words.
But rather than us explaining what it is and how it differentiates from other systems, it is probably much better — and more credible — to let actual users describe it, so here is a link to a blog post from the Swiss University ETH describing their experiences trying out Edword.
We particularly like the, “Some 87% (of students) said they preferred commentary via Edword over traditionally delivered comments”.
